Chris Hilmes, a proud native of Clinton County, has worked in the lawn care industry for 30 years. Throughout his career, he has contributed to the maintenance of turf for nationally recognized golf courses, the Tampa Bay Rays stadium, the Springfield Cardinals field, and the St. Louis Rams practice field. Chris has served as the Vice President of the Sports Turf Management Association and has been a national speaker at a Sports Turf Management Conference. He has also lectured at various annual regional conferences. Known for his strong work ethic, Chris possesses extensive knowledge of high-level grass management.

Chris is married to Tara Snow Hilmes, and they have two children. Their oldest son is a member of the Mater Dei High School Class of 2025, while their daughter is in the Class of 2028. You may recall Tara from her time as a radio personality at WCXO; she is now a Family Nurse Practitioner and owns the Medspa Eterna in Highland. Chris and his family enjoy participating in shows at the Clinton County Showcase in their free time.
